Calling All Volunteers!

Who's Yer Con is coming up fast! One of the things that makes a convention like this so successful is its volunteers. This page is the one-stop shop for all Who's Yer Con volunteer information

We are currently looking to fill the following positions:

Customer Service/Check-In Desk
This is the first person the attendee sees when they come in to WYC. Must be able to answer questions like "where are the restrooms?" and "when does the next [whatever event] begin"? Shifts will be scheduled in two hour increments with one or two people needed around the clock for the duration of the convention.

Gaming Room
This Volunteer will walk around the gaming room making sure people are having fun and helping to match guests to events. Sometimes this simply means directing a guest to their previously scheduled event, sometimes it means being able to find an event for a guest who looks lost. Shifts will be scheduled in two hour increments with one or two people needed while the gaming rooms are open.

Game Library
This Volunteer handles the check-in and check-out of games from the WYC game library, making sure the games are well organized and properly displayed so attendees can select a game to borrow and play. Volunteers must be able to record the necessary information to loan out the game, then release the information when the game is returned. This job might combine with Customer Service desk during times of low demand. Shifts will be scheduled in two hour increments. This position may be combined with Customer Service during periods of low traffic.
