Ed Angleton has been hospitalized and has asked me to run the 18xx events at Who's Yer Con. I was already registered for all the games so there shouldn't be any issue with the running. I have a variety of the games.

I guess waht worries me is the "most" part... certainly Most gamers take care of stuff, and Most gamers are nice folks. I'd even say Most gamers shower regularly. but with it being a free con, my fear is that there's little to stop the worst elements of our community from attending, and making off with or failing to respect our games.

I'll bring mine, and you can ask to borrow them, but you'll have to ask, so I know who has it, and I am the sort to expect it be treated well; with typical consequences for failing to do so.

Lurkers are definitely welcome to watch and ridicule the DM.

Please do not take my rantings as criticism, though i believe you took it as it was intended. Games coordinators have the most thankless job, because you CAN'T satisfy EVERYONE. i appreciate the fact that there is even a con to attend in the first place.

What was the ruling on lurkers, again? I don't have a Friday room so I can't join the celebration, but I'd come watch (read: mock and giggle) the others...

I could just imagine Mike running Drunkens & Dragons Ravenloft running for 12 hours... I wonder if they would even make it through 5% of the castle? I can just imagine how the scene with Drac at dinner would go... (how do vamps handle alcohol in OD&D?)
